I have now woven and finished the first baby blanket.
I hemstitched on 1,2 in dazzling blue, wove 1,2 in dazzling blue to square the corner block (20 picks), 6 repetitions of the pattern, 1 pick of honeysuckle on 1 to end pattern, then 2,1 in dazzling blue to square the corner block (20 picks) and hemstitched with dazzling blue on 2,1.
I then wove and glued a stick into the warp so as to lose the least warp when removing the blanket from the loom.
Once the flour paste was dry, I cut the fabric from the loom, washed it in the machine on a normal cycle with warm water, trimmed loose ends, rolled it with a lint roller and pressed with a hot iron. The fabric was then hung to dry overnight.
It’s another piece of gorgeous fabric.
