Warp 33 – 2nd piece (1st scarf) woven

I hemstitched in yellow and wove a coloured stripe with the alternate treadling (an extended point – see diagram below). Next I wove 2 star sequences (treadling = threading TAW) in natural, then another coloured stripe etc until I had ~175cm. This meant 10 sets of colour/natural pattern and ending with a coloured stripe. The colours were a cycle of yellow, orange and green. I ended with an orange band and hemstitching in orange.

I calculated that I have approximately 28ppi (the natural band is 156 picks and 14cm/5.5 inches).

The warp yarn is quite sticky, so to get a clean shed, I pass an empty stick shuttle through before throwing the boat shuttle with the weft yarn.
