For this piece, the 12th, I did a two-coloured piece with all 4 of the preceding patterns. After weaving the 10 rows of tabby white and 6 rows of tabby cream, I wove the following patterns:
Warp float – 2 repetitions of red
Weft float – 2 repetitions of red
Warp & weft float – 3 repetitions of yellow
Lacy squares – 2 repetitions of yellow.
I had noticed that the first half of the Lacy squares pattern is the same as the first half of the Warp &
weft float pattern. So rather than end up with 7 narrow bands before the wide bands of Lacy squares
and 6 narrow bands after the wide bands, I would skip the first narrow band of Lacy squares. So I wove
a single row of 1,3 tabby between Warp & weft float and the Lacy squares. I like how it has turned out.
Warp & weft float – 3 repetitions of yellow
Weft float – 2 repetitions of red
Warp float – 2 repetitions of red
Finally, I wove 6 rows of cream and 10 rows of white to finish this piece.
