I wanted to see how these scarves had turned out before starting to weave the warp end, so I cut the fabric from the loom and separated the pieces.
The pieces were hand-washed in cool water and gently spun in the washing machine to remove excess water. The loose ends were trimmed, then the pieces were pressed on silk setting and left to dry. Once dry, they were ruffled in my hands to soften the fabric and labels sewn on by hand.
They are deliciously soft and draped. I love this era silk fabric!
