I decided to weave a red piece about 45cm long next. I used all of the reds that are about the same size as 10/2 cotton and a 4 point twill (123432) treadling pattern.
Reds
I ended up weaving the colours as follows:
Chilli pepper (red) 10/2 – 10 repetitions, about 5cm
Honeysuckle (pink) 10/2 – 2 repetitions
DMC No8 perle red 666 – 2 repetitions
Pink rayon – 1 repetition (this thread is thicker than 10/2 cotton, so about the same size as 1.5 repetitions of 10/2)
Red rayon – 1 repetition
Red metallic – 1 repetition
Red rayon – 1 repetition
Pink rayon – 1 repetition
DMC No8 perle red 666 – 2 repetitions
Pink 10/2 – 2 repetitions
Red 10/2 – 8 repetitions
Repeat twice, end with 10 repetitions of red 10/2 cotton.
On loom, with tension off, the fabric measures 45.5cm.
