After completing the weaving for the 2nd scarf, I cut the fabric from the loom, separated the 2 scarves and trimmed the fringes. The scarves were then hand washed in cold water, trimmed (loose ends), pressed and hung to dry.
I noticed that there were three warp skips at the end of the silk weft scarf. This is because I wove right to the end of the warp and the shed was very small at the end; I sewed my label over the skips.
If I didn’t have both pieces in front of me, I don’t think I could say which had cotton weft and which had silk. When laid side-by-side, the cotton weft is slightly darker, the warp colours slightly more vibrant and the fabric slightly drapier. The silk weft is slightly more grey.
I will call these scarves “Refraction”.
