I have been asked to make a pink face cloth as a gift. I will make a series of face cloths based on the shadow weave items I created in the 7th-10th pieces of Warp 16 (in turn based on S04E08 of Jane Stafford’s online guild).
Size – ~25cm square when finished
Warp – scuba blue 10/2 mercerised cotton, colour scuba blue alternating with black 16/2 mercerised cotton (10/2 mercerised cotton in black is currently unavailable)
Weft – 10/2 mercerised cotton and DMC No 8 perle in various light and dark shades, alternating Light with Dark
Warp length – 7.5m
No of ends – 248
Epi & ppi – 20
On loom width – 30cm
Reed – 10dpi, sleyed 2 ends per dent
Structure – 2/2 twill
Warp threading:
Extended point twill, #4 of S04E08 of Jane Stafford’s online guild; alternating LD, starting L (on the right). 28 ends per pattern repeat.
Floating selvedge and 10 thread black border on each side

12, 23, 34, 14
