A neighbour has asked me to weave her a shawl based on the colours and patterns in the 4th piece from Warp 12. I will use the colours from the 4th piece and possibly the patterns in the 1st piece from Warp 12. In the 1st piece, the weft sequence is the same as in warp sequence; in the 4th piece the weft sequences are only DDLLL and black.
I will weave 4 repetitions of the 7 pattern rows to make the fabric to the desired length of ~175cm when finished.
Weave structure = Plain weave
Warp = 5/2 mercerised cotton – green glow (stripes) and white
8/2 mercerised cotton – black (couldn’t get 5/2 from Ashfords)
Weft = 5/2 mercerised cotton – radiant orchid (purplish for stripes) and white
8/2 mercerised cotton – black
Warp length = 7m
