As I have finished all of the light pink yarn, I decided to cut these pieces from the loom and finish them so I can see how the patterns interact with each other.
Once they were off the loom, I washed them on a warm, normal, machine wash cycle; trimmed the ends; pressed with a hot iron and rolled with the lint roller.
Piece 3 measured 33 x 22.5cm; Piece 4 34 x 23cm & Piece 5 26 x 22.75cm.
They have a very pleasing iridescence, but the patterns aren’t symmetrical along the weft. Unless I can figure out how to reverse the shadow weave, I will weave only a single pattern on each of the subsequent cloths.
These pieces don’t photograph very well – the colours are much better than they look.
