Warp 25 – 2nd piece finished

After re-tying the warp to front apron, I wove 2 alternating picks of basketweave and hemstitched using 5/2 mercerised cotton in white. This will also be the weft for this entire piece. I decided to weave a TAW 4-thread point twill pattern (1 2 3 4 3 2 repeat).

I measured the length of the weaving using T-pins – before each winding on of the warp, I measured forward from the pin, moved the pin and wrote down the length of weaving. After weaving 143cm, I wove 2 picks of alternating basketweave and hemstitched.

Splices in the orange and green sections of warp can be seen – these are made so that I can remove knots from the warp.
At the top right edge of the weaving, you can see one of the T-pins that I used for measuring the length of the weaving.
