Warp 17 – 2nd piece

I hemstitched on 2 rows of tabby with black cotton. I decided to weave a 4 thread broken twill (1, 4, 3, 2, 4, 1, 2, 3) with a linear gradient. I wanted about 48cm of fabric, but also wanted to increase the size of the solid colour stripes in the linear gradient.

The colours were woven honeysuckle (pink), chilli pepper (red), friar brown, celosia orange, freesia (yellow), green glow, cedar green, dazzling blue, denim, scuba blue, denim, dazzling blue, cedar green, green glow, freesia, celosia orange, friar brown, chilli pepper, honeysuckle.

I wove 3cm of pink so that I have enough to use as a hem when removed from the loom and then

At the end, I wove 3cm of pink and hemstitched on 2 rows of tabby honeysuckle.

The fabric measures 58cm on the loom, so 10cm longer than I had wanted; but I really like the wider solid stripes.
