I decided to weave the “shadow weave meets twill” gamp from Season 4, episode 8 of the Jane Stafford online weaving guild. It’s a 2/2 twill with 4 different warp threading sequences, each separated by a black band:
1) Straight draw (honeysuckle)
2) Point twill (celosia orange)
3) Wall of Troy (green glow)
4) Extended point (scuba blue)
5) Straight draw borders on both sides, in black, so that I can read where I am in the pattern as I weave
As with the other gamps, I will initially weave TAW and in the same colour sequence.
I will also weave a sample piece using darker shades of the 4 colours instead of black. The darker shades are Chilli pepper, Friar brown, Cedar green and Dazzling blue.
