I looked through the patterns on the 1st piece, the sampler, and selected my favourite rows for using on the next pieces.
The 2nd piece on the warp from the large threadings twill gamp from Jane Stafford’s guild videos (season 4, episode 5) has a weft of unit substitution TAW in the same multi-colour bands as for the 2nd to the 5th pieces of Project 14.
I wove 1 repetition – approx. 4cm – of each colour. The colours are celosia orange, freesia (yellow), green glow, cedar green, scuba blue, dazzling blue, radiant orchid (purplish), honeysuckle (pink) and chilli pepper (red).
I began by throwing 2 alternating picks of basketweave and hemstitching and I ended the piece in the same manner. My cloth measures about 36cm.
