Warp 14 – 1st piece – sampler

I’ve finished the first piece – the sampler. It’s off the loom, washed, ends trimmed and pressed. Now I can look at these patterns and determined what I want to weave with the rest of the warp.

The finished length (not including fringes) of the whole piece is 143cm. I’ve attached photos showing the patterns found in each of the treadling sets. Between patterns I wove 4 picks of basketweave. The sets were:
1) Threadings tromp as writ (TAW) for patterns 1-6
2) Threadings treadled rose fashion or inverted for patterns 1-6
3) Threadings treadled TAW for 2 repetitions immediately followed by 2 repetitions of rose fashion
4) 4 Point twills – each starting on a different treadle – 1234321; 2341432; 3412143; 4123214. These were separated by 5 picks of plainweave
5) Threadings TAW for patterns 1-6, but as a 1/3 twill
6) Threadings from the point twill gamp from Jane Stafford’s videos S04E04 for patterns 1-6
7) Threadings from the large threadings gamp from Jane Stafford’s videos S04E05 for patterns 1-5
(Here the 5th threading has been called Networked threading – on the large threadings gamp it has been renamed Advancing threading)
I ended by throwing 2 picks of alternating basketweave and hemstitching.
