I finished weaving the first piece last night with the 6 rows of 5/2 cream tabby and finally 10 rows of 10/2 white tabby. I wound the warp on and left a gap of about 2cm before beginning the next piece with 10 rows of 10/2 white tabby and 6 rows of 5/2 cream tabby.

The pattern for the second piece is Huck lace with weft floats (p18 of Tom Knisley’s book “Huck lace weaving patterns”).

Tonight, I was able to finish the rest of the second piece. The 25cm of pattern weave consists of 3 repetitions using 5/2 radiant orchid (purplish), 5/2 green glow, 5/2 scuba blue, 5/2 green glow and 5/2 radiant orchid. This was followed by 6 rows of 5/2 cream tabby and finally 10 rows of 10/2 white tabby.
