I wound the warp on to the measuring thread mark after the centre mark so that I could begin weaving the second half of the fabric – there is quite a thick roll of fabric building up. Next, I wove 5cm of blue tabby before pausing to hemstitch the end. I then started weaving using the variegated yarn also – the 5cm of plain weave at each edge uses 16 warp threads per side. There is only about 170cm left to weave!!
